After graduating from the California College of the Arts, I worked as a designer for 6 years at "Tamotsu Yagi Design" in San Francisco. During this time, I was involved in projects for Silicon Valley companies, environmental groups, and Japanese clients, dealing with a wide range of design tasks such as corporate identity, brand development, store design, and package design. These experiences deeply influenced my view of design and laid the foundation for successfully leading diverse projects.
Upon returning to Japan, I gained experience in design management for brand and store development at "World Co., Ltd." Using that knowledge and skills, I established "Nineteen Fifty-Six, LLC." For over 20 years, I have handled many cases, including global projects, earning trust from companies in various industries. I have been creating designs that meet the specific needs of projects, from brand naming, logo design, store atmosphere, print media, packaging, product display, to web production. By leading a team and devising and implementing strategies to achieve goals, I have continued to produce excellent designs.
Based in Tokyo, leveraging my experience in the United States and my career in Japan, I facilitate smooth communication between clients and creative teams and contribute to the localization of global brands with my English skills.
